The Canada Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) is showcasing Flick Software's Mobile Interactive Guide at this year's conference which is centered on the theme Breaking Through: Charting New Territory for Science Centres. CASC members, including delegates from science centres, museums, planetariums, industry and government, will be trying several different types of configurations of handheld devices. "We were particularly drawn to the capabilities offered by a software solution that will enable us to customize experiences to each visitor's needs, including being able to tell multiple stories around exhibits and tailor content over a mobile device," stated Mr. Christopher Terry, President and CEO of the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation. "We see the Mobile Interactive Guide as an innovative option that will help us with our continuing commitment to increase accessibility and appeal to a wider segment of Canada's population." CASC members will experience specific features of the Mobile Interactive Guide at the May event, including a customized tour of the history of vehicles and a museum-wide treasure hunt specifically designed to engage younger visitors, guided by animated characters from the Nortel Connexions exhibition, Gig A.Bitand Tera Byte. "In addition to customized content delivery, the Mobile Interactive Guide will provide CSTM visitors with access to interactive maps, feedback options, quizzes and post visit email reviews," said Jason Flick, President of Flick Software. "This new version of the Mobile Interactive Guide offers unique software innovations that will leverage CSTM's digital content investments and deliver it intuitively to their visitors in fun and interactive ways."
